SCHEDULE APPOINTMENT (For Pick-up or Librarian Help)

Alumni will have access to view and read materials at the Library, but may not check out any materials. 

Only Active Students and Staff/Faculty can check out Library materials.

Alumni will continue to have access to these databases and electronic resources mentioned below:

Alumni will lose checkout privileges but they can still browse the catalog.

Free Online Resources! Library Staff has curated many resources that can be accessed online and other recommended sites (not associated with LAFS Subscriptions).

Alumni access to the resources (below) after graduation:

LINKEDIN LEARNING

Alumni will have access to LinkedIn Learning for 6 months after they graduate. After that, Alumni will have no more access unless they pay for a new subscription. 

O'REILLY ONLINE LEARNING

Alumni will have access to O'Reilly Online Learning for 1 month after they graduate. Reminder, only Online programs and Students enrolled in the Entertainment Business programs (both online and ground) have access to the O'Reilly resource. 

Alumni access to LAFS-issued tech after graduation:

ADOBE

Alumni will have access to Adobe Suite for 3 months after they graduate. After that, Alumni will have no more access unless they pay for a new subscription.

MICROSOFT OFFICE

Alumni will have access to Microsoft Office 365 for 3 months after they graduate. After that, Alumni will have no more access unless they pay for a new subscription.

LAFS EMAIL & ONEDRIVE

Alumni will no longer have access to their LAFS Google email or any products via the Google Education Suite (including LAFS Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc). LAFS has migrated from Google to Microsoft products for all Students and Alumni. 

Alumni will have access to their LAFS Emails and OneDrive through Microsoft. 

DISTRIBUTION CENTER TECHKITS

Other software that you get from enrolling in a specific program may differ. Please check with the Distribution Center for your TechKit materials and required textbooks. Email dchelpdesk@lafilm.edu.

Alumni will have access to the Library's equipment and other supplies located at the Library. 

All Active Students, Staff/Faculty, and Alumni will continue to have access to the Library for printing, scanning, computer use, CD/DVD burner, paper cutter, and other office supplies provided by the Library. If planning to print out documents, you must have credit from your Printing Account. More info about printing may be found below.

Alumni will have access to use the Library.

All Active Students, Staff/Faculty, and Alumni are welcome to the Library for research, education, and leisure interests. This brings people into informal contact, providing a positive social experience. 

Alumni will have access to use the Library Info Desk.

All Active Students, Staff/Faculty, and Alumni are welcome to ask questions and inquire about school-related information.

INFO DESK

STUDENT SUCCESS

Student Advisors provide support and resources for students to enhance and aid in their school experience. You can visit on campus in B2, 1st Floor. 

HELPDESK

IMT provides Students and Staff the support needed to resolve any technical issues throughout the use of our LAFS platforms, sites, and other associated products. You can visit the IMT HelpDesk located B1, 4th Floor for technical issues. 

DISTRIBUTION CENTER

DC provides learning materials and gears on time necessary for the completion of student courses and/or program, including TechKits (laptops, software, gear accessories, etc).

BUSINESS OFFICE

The Business Office team provides excellent customer service to students and support them on payment, outstanding balance, and billing-related questions. In support of students, the department also works with various departments within the School to facilitate coordination and provide clarification to student inquiries related to their ledger balance.

CAREER DEVELOPMENT

Your Career Advisors will provide assistance and resources that will support Students and Alumni as they navigate the challenging path to creating and sustaining a successful career.

FEDERAL WORK STUDY 

FWS program is a federally funded part-time employment program used to assist students in meeting their financial obligations to LAFS and to encourage community-service involvement.

EQUIPMENT ROOMS

Both LAFS and LARS Equipment Rooms provide assistance and resources that will support Students and Faculty with whatever needs they have in regards to studio bookings and equipment rentals.
