While graphic design in the past was limited to print, now it is a multi-dimensional field that includes motion and interactivity. Students, or designers, will need to have the skills to produce graphics for a wide variety of media types, including digital publications and 2-D and 3-D motion graphics in any industry.
Graphic design is the process of visual communication and problem-solving through the use of typography, photography, and illustration. The field is considered a subset of visual communication and communication design, but sometimes the term "graphic design" is used synonymously.
